Colson Kelly, also known as Machine Gun Kelly is best known for the unique way he raps. Baker was born on April 22 1990, in Houston Texas U.S. into a family of English Scottish and German descent. When he was a kid Baker spent a large period of his time on the road with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker, his father, was depressed as well as unemployment. His mother Sonia Alane had left him at the age of nine. Baker along with his father moved to Denver, where they lived in the home of his father's Aunt. Baker was a target of bullying because he lived in poverty by the other kids. After he was in the sixth grade, Baker began to study rap. Colson Kelly was born Machine Gun Kelly on April 22nd, 1989 in Texas. The music he composes blends modern hip-hop, alternative and rock. Baker has released four mixtapes in the period between 2007-2010, prior to signing with Bad Boy Records. This Cleveland rapper who raps the lyrics with as much speed as bullets, saw a meteoric climb in late 2011, after he shifted from self-publishing mixtapes to signing with reputable labels. The following years saw every single album of his charted at number 10.
