
Ali discovered her talent at an early age and forged an acting career. Ali made her screen debut in 1988 in the film Crocodile Dundee II. Ali's presence was also evident on TV screens. She was cast in several TV shows, including A Man Called Hawk, Wally and the Valentines, The Cosby Show, Getting By Do You Afraid of the Dark?, Kidz In the Wood, Living Single, In the House, and numerous others. However, among her projects, Ali's breakthrough came in 1990 when she helped Ashley Banks come to life in the smash TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Alongside star Will Smith, the series was a huge hit. It was the highest-rated show on NBC and ranked 12th out of all shows between 1990 and 1992. Additionally, the show would go on to earn two sought-after Golden Globe nominations.
