Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her elder sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career started as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous verdict and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight by unanimous decision. Antonina bounced back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus for the bout. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record during her subsequent three matches, winning over Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
